No HyperX® Signature Line For De'Aaron Fox Yet, But 'Customized' Headset In The Works

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Sacramento, Calif. A few days before the Sacramento Kings took Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox with the No. 5 pick overall in the NBA draft last summer, he signed on as an ambassador of HyperX® gaming headsets.

HyperX®, a division of Kingston® Technology Company, Inc., and sponsor of top gaming organizations, chose Fox to wear its line of headphones for his enthusiastic taste for playing video games.

He will exclusively use HyperX gaming headsets to ensure the comfort and superior audio quality required for long gaming sessions. At the Kings’ Media Day event on Sept. 25, Fox said he probably won’t get signature products anytime soon, but is expected to get specialized gaming headsets.

“I actually don’t (have any signature headphones),” Fox said. “I do have some pairs that haven’t come out yet, some wireless ones that (HyperX) is going to start making. But I going to start getting some customized (gaming headsets).”

Fox, 19, is already started getting customized products through his endorsement deal with Nike, though not signature brands. A fan of the Japanese anime television series Dragon Ball Z, the company bequeathed Fox a pair of DBZ-themed Kobe A.D. shoes that he proudly posted on Instagram.

On the first day of training camp, Fox was seen wearing Nike’s all purple Kyrie 3 Bruce Lee, a sneaker collaboration of Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant, featuring the inspiration of martial arts and acting icon Bruce Lee.

“There something new and haven’t been out that long,” Fox said. “I’ll be playing in Kobe’s (shoes) for the most part.”

While it looks as if the Kings prized rookie will reap a slew of endorsements. His hookup with HyperX will definitely raise his profile, since Fox has a habit of playing video games such as Call of Duty, Need for Speed, Madden, UFC, and Clash Royal.

HyperX offers gamers a competitive edge and its commitment to gamers and the eSport community worldwide. The company comes with a wide-range of gaming accessories, including gaming headsets, and mice and keyboards.

Fox is a part of HyperX influencer team that includes former Los Angeles Lakers player Rick Fox, Gordon Hayward, and Boston Celtics and Detroit Renegades owner Jonas Jerebko. Fox wear the gaming headsets when he streams his favorite games on Twitch, one of the world’s leading video platform and community for gamers.

“We’re thrilled to sign De’Aaron to the HyperX family,” said Dustin Illingworth, HyperX influencer marketing manager. “His extraordinary skill on the court and remarkable passion for gaming will elevate awareness of HyperX brand among both gamers and traditional sports fans alike.”

Fox said he has “no idea” when the gaming headsets he will be promoting for HyperX will launch. All he knows is that the products will be individually built to his specifications, which is a real indication that a signature line could happen.

“I keep everything customized,” Fox said. “I keep everything to my liking.”
